Notice on the Replacement of LED tube lights
The replacement of traditional lamps with LED tubes is very simple. Basically it can be directly replaced with the right lamp base and voltage. But there are still some other problems needing attentions.
1. The installation of LED tube lights: LED has constant current source in itself. Hence, there is no need for ballast and starter. Generally, constant current source can be installed inside lamps above the size of T8 because the inner space is big enough. Therefore, during installation, the original rectifier and starter could be removed and install the fluorescent lamp directly.
2. The voltage of LED tube lights: Although the fluorescent lamp of Geri photovoltaic has a wide voltage adaptability ranging from AC 85V to AC 245V, it will affect the power factor of constant current source if the voltage is too high or too low in the long-term. That is to say, it will cause a slight impact on energy saving efficiency and on the lifespan of constant current source. Therefore, it is generally better to choose fluorescent lamp in appropriate voltage. For instance, if the local voltage of a place is 110V, you should choose our specially designed 110V fluorescent lamp.
3. The cooling ability of LED tube: lamp produced in Geri photovoltaic has an aluminum radiator shell. Under normal circumstances, the heat dissipation is not a problem. However, if used in a dusty place, you should clean the dust regularly to prevent the dust from covering the radiator, thus affecting the heat dissipation.
4. LED tube lights is waterproof: it is made up with the upper part and the lower part. The upper part is an aluminum radiator and the lower part is a light sphere. Since there are gaps in the joints, it is important to prevent fumes and water vapor from entering into the gaps. If it is used under heavy fumes and water vapor, a protective cover is suggested (general protective cover is okay).
5. The quake-proof ability of LED tube lights: it has a strong anti-shock ability. It usually causes no damage if the knock is not very violent. But it may cause some impacts on the soft board. While traditional fluorescent lamp is made up of glass and inside the lamp is almost vacuum, vibration may cause explosion. Therefore, particular attention must be paid to it.
